The charitable foundation "WEYS." currently has 1910 appeals from citizens whose housing was damaged or completely destroyed as a result of hostilities. Currently, 80% of the appeals are from Sumy region.

Our organization works with each case individually, because behind every broken window there is a specific story: the story of a specific person, a specific family. That is why it is important for our team to highlight these stories. Thus, representatives of the WEYS Charitable Foundation took part in the Recovery Media Conference organized by the Window of Recovery network.

Is it time to rebuild?

Which areas need to be restored first?
Is it possible to plan the recovery process now?

What are the obstacles to recovery?

Successful recovery cases: Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson regions.

Are Ukrainians satisfied with the level of recovery in the country?
The conference brought together representatives of the media, government, NGOs, charitable foundations, and all those interested in the topic of recovery.
"Reconstruction is a rather broad issue that concerns not only construction. Reconstruction includes not only the physical reconstruction of facilities, but also the economy, community development, energy infrastructure, return of people, rehabilitation of veterans and many other issues. But at the moment, while the country is at war, we can start small: restore housing in the border communities of recovery, including installing windows, doors, repairing roofs, in other words, providing the help that people need now. This also includes legal assistance from our partners, because very often people do not have documents for housing. These are the real steps that the foundation is taking and that are so important for people in need," says Olena Demydenko, Communications Manager at WEYS.
