Andrii Lohvyn, a representative of the Charitable Foundation "WEYS.", took part in the first meeting of the Food Security and Livelihoods Cluster of Sumy Region. The cluster coordinates the efforts of its members to ensure a coherent and well-coordinated response to the challenges of food security and livelihoods in times of war.
The meeting discussed the capabilities of each charitable organisation in the Sumy region that joined the cluster and possible ways of cooperation between these organisations in 2024. The main task of all the organisations present is to provide effective food and livelihood assistance to the population of Sumy region, in particular to people in difficulty as a result of the russian invasion of Ukraine. The cluster's activities will also be aimed at supporting farms that create added value in the processing of agricultural products, as well as small and medium-sized farmers. The issue of attracting international donors to help farms that have suffered losses or been destroyed as a result of the armed conflict was also considered.
