Mykola Petrovych, 77, has lived in Seredyno-Buda, Sumy region, since childhood. Here he worked as an engineer at a collective farm, married his beloved woman and raised a son. After retirement, he ran a household with his wife. Their peaceful life was disrupted by the Russian attack. The city began to be shelled. On April 27, 2023, a shell dropped from a helicopter exploded in the yard of their house. The couple, who were at home, experienced great stress. Windows and doors were smashed in the house, and the roof was damaged, which the family covered with their own hands because they decided to stay. All other damages were repaired with improvised materials .
