Mykola, 76, from the town of Seredina-Buda in Sumy Oblast, turned to the Foundation for help. The man has a disability because he has lost his eyesight. He lives with his wife, his sons left as IDPs.
On 29 April 2023, during another air raid, Mykola and his wife hid in the garage. The shells hit another part of the house and the garden. As a result, the following were damaged: 2 windows, the front door, the roof, the veranda, the greenhouse and the garage. The family suffered a severe psychological shock.
They repaired the roof and sealed the windows on their own. But the house remains uninhabitable. The pensioners do not have the financial means to repair the damage. So they ask for help from everyone who cares.
