History 📖

Oleksandr, 65, from the village of Romashkove in Sumy Oblast, turned to the Foundation for help. The man and his wife have lived there since 1990.

On 8 May 2023, a fragment from an aerial bomb hit the family's house. Two windows in the house, 4 in the veranda, the front door, the wall and the roof were damaged. The pensioners were at home at the time, very frightened, drinking sedatives.

They boarded up the windows and replaced the glass in the kitchen window with their own efforts. But now the family cannot live in the house because there is no heating. The pensioners are unable to fully repair the house, so they are asking for help.
