23-year-old Sofiya Oleksandrivna lives with her sister in Seredino-Buda, in the north of Sumy Oblast. She worked in a hair salon. The city is under enemy fire almost every day. On September 19, 2023, Sofia's home was also shelled. Fortunately, she and her sister were outside at that time, so they were not physically injured. Windows and a balcony unit were blown out of the apartment. The windows were hammered with chipboard and covered with film. But in this state, the house is not fit for living, so Sofya Oleksandrivna was forced to leave the house and turn to the Foundation for help in reconstruction.
