During the day of March 18, 2024, Russian troops shelled the border town of Seredino-Buda, Sumy region. Mykola Mykolayovych's apartment was also damaged, namely two windows, a balcony frame, a door, and walls broken by fragments. The man was at home, but managed to hide in time, thus saving his life.

Mykola Mykolayovych works as a locksmith at a music school. He has serious visual impairments. Lives alone, has a daughter, but she has her own family, lives separately. The salary is small, there are health problems, there are not enough funds. It appeals to everyone who cares to help in the restoration of housing.
