Shots are fired daily in the border area of Sumy region. The enemy regularly hits civilians. Many of them have already had their homes destroyed or damaged. Vasyl Petrovych is one of them.
The man has lived in the Znob-Novgorod community since birth. Together with his wife, they raised four children. One son lives with them now.
One day in March last year, the family was in their house when the shelling started. People were very frightened. The son even started stuttering. So the enemy attack damaged their house as well. Three windows in the house and three in the veranda were damaged, as well as the door, the roof and the wall. As best they could, the people temporarily repaired the damage so that they could live in their house. However, it needs to be restored. The family is asking for help.
