The Romanovskys have been living in Znob-Novgorodske, Sumy Oblast, for 9 years. The couple raised 2 daughters, aged 4 and 13, and took care of their retired mother-in-law. But when the war started, everything changed. The head of the family went to defend his homeland, and the entire household was left to 34-year-old Alla and her mother. It is hard and scary to live in a village where there is constant shelling. On September 12, 2023, a Russian shell hit the family's house. The children were very scared. The explosion damaged the roof, windows, and garage.
