73-year-old Petro Hryhorovych and his wife live in their own house in the village of Yamne in the Velykopysarivska community. On January 12, 2024, their home was damaged by Russian shelling. The couple was at home at the time. The owner himself miraculously escaped injury, but the woman was hit by a blast wave, sustained a concussion, and now has health problems. Their house was left without windows and doors. The fence and outbuildings where the couple kept their cattle were also heavily damaged. The pensioners were able to install one door and cover the windows with improvised materials. The rest of the repairs are sorely lacking.
