Viktoriia has lived in the village of Zapsillia in Sumy region since birth. She now lives in her own house with her two children, aged 15 and 19, and her nephew. She has no job and lives off her own garden. On that summer day in 2023, she had just finished her chores, was tired, and laid down to rest while it was hot. And at that moment, her native village was covered by the explosions of Russian shells. The woman was very scared and did not even realize what was happening at first; eventually, she hid in the basement with her children and nephew. When the shelling stopped, the family came out and saw that the roof of their house was damaged.
